Hi, Visitors!
My name is Dale Rogers and I created this site to help people put themselves back in the driver’s seat when it comes to their panic and anxiety attacks. A lot of people need and want help for panic attacks because they can be so scary, frustrating, and even debilitating.
The good news is there are a few things you can do right now to begin taking back control of your life and your peace of mind. I know how important this is to you because I’ve been through it too.
The few things you can do anywhere at any time is to BREATHE DEEPLY and STRETCH. I can’t stress enough the importance of making these techniques regular practices.
Nearly the first thing that happens to most people when they experience the onset of a panic attack is their breathing changes drastically. Most of the time it increases in rate and each breath gets shorter. Deliberately breathing deeper can go a long way to relaxing your body and mind. It may be a challenge when your thoughts are racing and your body starts instantly reacting with stress and fear, but you can make it a disciplined habit to calm yourself by controlling your breathing.
The second technique, stretching your body, will pull you out of the physiological state that is perpetuating your anxiety attack. The mind-body connection is real, or you wouldn’t experience bodily changes by thinking certain things. By changing your body’s physical state you can literally pull yourself out that stat and stop your panic attack.
Another reason stretching seems to work to relieve a panic attack is because it begins to eliminate the build up of the effects of the stress. Just like stretching before and after heavy exercise, stretching and deep breathing during a panic attack can begin to reduce the by-products of having an attack.
If you’d like to know one more very effective way to literally side-step and eliminate your panic attacks check out Panic Away. The testimonials alone are inspiring and will give you a little hope and show you that too can become free and relax in to a life without worry of future attacks.
I’ll be adding more posts and resources soon so be sure to check back!
